Operations 19

Remove the hard drive.

To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.

Remove the left DIMM baffle

To remove the component:

1. Power down the server blade (on page 16).

2. Remove the server blade (on page 17).

3. Place the server blade on a flat, level surface with the correct side of the server blade facing up. To

determine the correct side, see the label attached to the access panel.

4. Remove the access panel (A-side) (on page 18).

5. If installed, remove the battery pack (on page 24).

You do not need to disconnect the cable from the battery pack.

6. Disconnect the SAS/SATA signal cable from the SAS backplane.
