No issues were discovered when testing client printer properties using these HP printers and drivers.

Universal printer

Description

Auto-creation of client printers requires drivers for these printers to be available on XenApp servers. When you use universal

printing, you do not need to install native printer drivers in your server farm; rather, the client printers are auto-created

using Citrix universal printing.

Test methodology

The HP printers listed in Table 13 were installed on the client system using a parallel cable, USB cable, or TCP/IP port.

Because printer drivers are not needed to test the universal printer, only HP printers are tested with this feature.

The client system connected to the XenApp server farm, which verified that the client’s locally attached HP printers were

available in the user’s session and that the client could print successfully to these printers.

Auto-created client printers

Description

Auto-created client printers are printers that are connected to ports on users’ Win16, Win32, and Win64 client devices

(Windows CE, DOS, and Macintosh OS platforms).

Test methodology

The HP printers listed in Table 14 were installed on the client system using a parallel cable, USB cable, or TCP/IP port; drivers

for the printers were downloaded from the HP Driver Support website.

The client system connected to the XenApp server farm, which verified that the client’s locally-attached HP printer was

available in the user’s session and that the client could print successfully to this printer.
