NOTE For the following steps, refer to Figure 32.
6. Remove the 5.5mm nut (item 1) from the right side of the printer
securing the encoder strip (item 2).
7. Remove the encoder strip from retaining pins (item 3) on the right
side of the Printer Chassis.
8. Remove the encoder strip spacer (item 4).
9. Release the encoder strip from the carriage assembly.
10. Release the encoder strip from all the retaining pins (item 5) along
the back of the printer.
11. The encoder strip can now be removed from the printer.
