Connect the front panel LED board cable.

15. Install the fan assembly ("Installing the fan assembly" on page 20).

16. Install the access panel ("Installing the access panel" on page 17).

17. Install the server into the rack ("Installing the server into the rack" on page 25).

Diskette drive assembly option

CAUTION: To prevent improper cooling and thermal damage, do not operate the server unless all bays

are populated with either a component or a blank.

1. Power down the server ("Powering down the server" on page 15).

2. Remove the server from the rack ("Removing the server from the rack" on page 16).

3. Remove the access panel ("Removing the access panel" on page 17).

4. Remove the fan assembly ("Removing the fan assembly" on page 18).

5. Disconnect the front panel LED board cable.

6. Disconnect cables from any devices installed in the media cage, if necessary.
