8. Release the ZIF connector (2) to which the TouchPad button board ribbon cable is attached, and

then disconnect the TouchPad button board ribbon cable from the system board.

9. Remove the three Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screws that secure the top cover to the computer.

10. Lift the rear edge of the top cover (1) until the left and right sides detach from the computer.

11. Remove the top cover (2).

Reverse this procedure to install the top cover.
