What’s new in HP Web Jetadmin 10.4 SR2 (10.4.101899)

HP Web Jetadmin 10.4 SR2 (10.4.101899) includes the following new features:

NOTE: New device support and key improvements and xes based on customer feedback are described in the

remainder of this document.

1. REQ 6624: HP Web Jetadmin will no longer try to install the Solution Manager (needed for FutureSmart

devices) and Application Manager (needed for OZ devices) when installing a solution. The user can now

select which one to install.

2. REQ 6634: CA certicates can now be uploaded on LEDM devices such as HP LaserJet M402, M452.

3. REQ 6642: WebServices/More Apps can now be congured via HP Web Jetadmin for professional devices

such as HP LaserJet MFP M227

4. REQ 6843/6856/6857: Renamed Copy Staple to Copy Staple/Hole Punch. Added two left/right/top staple

options and Hole Punch for Staple/Hole Punch.

5. REQ 6657: HP Web Jetadmin server installation is now supported on Windows Server 2016.

6. REQ 6660: HP Web Jetadmin client is now supported with the Edge browser on Windows 10.

7. REQ 6669: Scheduled export all devices from a group is selecting all devices at the moment of the

scheduled export instead of at the moment of creating the scheduled export task. Scheduled tasks that

existed prior to the upgrade to 10.4 SR2 will have to be recreated to use the new feature.

8. REQ 6680: It’s now possible to delete only the Custom Address Book or Local Address Book instead of

deleting both at the same time.

9. REQ 6747: Added authentication of devices using AD credentials instead of local device credentials.

Firmware 3.8.5 is required. Not supported in FutureSmart 4.

1. Enable Windows Sign-in and Setup Windows Sign In.

2. Windows users can be added on the device from the Embedded Web Server (EWS) or

HP Web Jetadmin.

3. Logon to the device with Windows credentials and HP Web Jetadmin can use Windows credentials.

NOTE: Use the fully qualied domain name in HP Web Jetadmin, and user name in the EWS.

Windows domain will be selected in the EWS drop down box.

10. REQ 6690: New paper jam alert codes can be used in the event log history report.

11. REQ 6703: New pick roller life alert codes can be used in the event log history report.

12. REQ 6704: Added secure mail support (such as Microsoft Oce 365) for HP Web Jetadmin generated

emails.

13. REQ 1472: Alert templates can now be imported/exported (per template or group of templates).

14. REQ 6716: Maintain the sorting order of Quick Sets on the home screen while applying templates.

15. REQ 6710: Added restoring from HP Web Jetadmin for devices with FS 3.8.x. To enable, click on the Cong

tab. Restore image must be available on the HP Web Jetadmin server.

16. REQ 6750: Added Tray 1 overll alert messages for HP Color LaserJet M101/M102, HP Color LaserJet

M253/M254, HP Color LaserJet MFP M178/M181, and HP Color LaserJet MFP M278/M281.
