The wizard displays the following three screens to guide you easily through the process:
• Welcome to the HP Event Notifier Configuration Wizard
• Mail (SMTP) Server Information
• Event Recipients Information
The Windows Event Notifier application forwards alarms via e-mail using Simple Mail Transfer
Protocol (SMTP). The administrator can receive alerts even when the management application is
not available.

The Event Selection dialog box as shown in the Figure 14 (page 28), allows you to select the events
(system errors or faults or notifications). The registered users will receive e-mail notification when
these events occurs.
