NOTE:

If several disks fail, the RAID state will still display a fault, but you are given the option

of initializing the RAID array. This will make the HP D2D Backup System usable again,

but you will have lost your data.

Replacing a complete unit

If you a re sent an empty unit as a replacement, you must transfer the disks from the old unit into the new

unit. Follow the steps outlined in the previous section to move each disk into the new unit. Further advice
