Component Description
Log Name
One of the predened log names supported by the SKM. Log types are: System,
Audit, Activity, and Client Event.
Rotation Schedule
Species the frequency of log rotation. When a log is rotated, the current log le is
closed and a new log le is opened. Supported log rotation frequencies are Daily,
Weekly, and Monthly. See Log Rotation for more information.

Rotates at
Enter the start time for the last log rotation in the cluster. The system calculates the
rotation tim
es of all devices in the cluster based on this value and the Rotation Time.

Num Logs Archived
Number of les to retain. Once this limit is reached, a new log le causes the oldest
log le to be removed. The maximum number of log lesyoucanretainis64;the
minimum is 0.
Max Log File Size
(MB)
Species the maximum size log le. When the log le reaches the log le size limit,
the system rotates the current leandbeginswritingtoanewle.
Transfer Type
Species th
e method for transferring the log le to its destination. FTP or SCP indicate
that the log le will be sent via FTP or SCP to the specied hostname. None implies
that the lo
g les will be stored internally on the SKM.
Host
Species the name of the host to which the le will be sent, when the transfer type
is FTP or SCP.
Directory
Species the location of the le on the host.
Username
Species t
he username used for logging into the host.
Password
Speciesthepasswordusedforloggingintothehost.

Click Back to return to the Log Conguration page.

syslog, select a type of log, and click Edit. Specify a hostname or IP address of the primary log
server (S
yslog Server #1) and the port that the syslog server is listening on. You can optionally specify a
backup s
yslog server by entering an IP address and port for the Syslog Server #2 IP and Syslog Server
#2 Port
elds. Click Save when you are done.
