Working with Event
Notification
This chapter explains how to use the CLI to enable, display, test, and
disable controller event notification messages. The CLI’s event
notification feature sends a designated recipient e-mail messages
that describe selected events that occur on a HP NetRAID-4M
controller.
A designated computer functions as an e-mail server. The computer
that functions as the e-mail server must support the Simple Mail
Transport Protocol (SMTP).
The event notification feature is available on Windows NT and
Windows 2000 (basic disk only) only.
