Command overview

add

Creates new conﬁguration elements.

bind

Creates assoc

iations between iSCSI elements.

delete

Removes conﬁguration elements.

help

Displays all possible commands or a detailed description of a speciﬁed

command.

reset

Restores the d

efault values of conﬁguration elements.

set

Changes the value of conﬁguration elements.

show

Displays detailed information about a conﬁguration element or all conﬁguration

elements in a table

Some CLI commands for iSCSI objects refer to an

alias

.Thealiasisaneasy-to-remember16-character

text string that refers to an object. In some cases, when an object is being added, if the alias is not

speciﬁed, it is automatically generated by the CLI. In other cases, you must specify the alias.

Canonical iSCSI target

The predeﬁned iSCSI target alias refers to the canonical iSCSI target, which is used during discovery.

It can be used to conﬁgure authentication for discovery sessions.

CLI commands that can refer to the canonical iSCSI target are set iscsi_keys, show iscsi_keys,andset

target_chap. Other commands produce an error if the canonical target is speciﬁed. For example,

it is not po

ssible to delete the canonical target.
