3.11.2Viewing license information
To view the license information on the HP SFS system, enter the show license command as shown in the
following example. It takes a few seconds for the license status to be read (during which time the Reading
license status message is displayed); please wait for the command to complete:
sfs> show license

3.11.3Adding or removing licenses
The license file is stored in the /var/flexlm/license.master file. This file must exist on both the
administration server and the MDS server. Whenever you make changes to this file, you must make sure that
the /var/flexlm/license.master file and the /var/flexlm/license.lic file are the same on
both servers.
The general process for adding or removing licenses is as follows:
1. Edit the /var/flexlm/license.master file using the vi(1) editor on the administration server.
Alternatively, you can edit the file elsewhere and copy it to the HP SFS system using the scp(1)
command.
