3. Save the license file you receive from HP in a convenient directory on a host that can be accessed by
the HP SFS system.
4. At this point, it is convenient to use two windows; one to log in to the HP SFS system and the other to
view the license file (in, for example, your email system).
5. On one window, log in to the administration server and use the vi(1) editor to edit the
/var/flexlm/license.master file.
CAUTION: Do not simply replace the existing /var/flexlm/license.master file with the
new license file. If you do so, you will lose the existing licenses.
The license file from HP will be similar to the following:

On the administration server, edit the /var/flexlm/license.master file so that the
INCREMENT line from the new license file is appended to the end of the existing content. (For
information on editing the /var/flexlm/license.master file, see Section 3.11.3.) The license
file will now contain something similar to the following:

reload the licenses into the license system. When prompted to accept the license terms, enter yes:
